BIOGRAPHY

Visual art, whether it's "fine art" or "street art," can tell a compelling story: Just like a musical composition or song; a photograph or film; a novel or short story. Andre Bowser's journey began as a child interested in writing and drawing, which grew into a lifelong passion for art. He attended New York City's High School of Art & Design and upon graduating continued his studies at the world-renowned private art college Pratt Institute. He dropped out after a year -- craving adventure that would inform his writing and art -- and became a US Navy Sailor for five years, traveling the world. He later completed his college studies and graduated from the University of Connecticut. Andre then embarked on a decade-long career as a newspaper journalist. He also worked in marketing for non-profits and government agencies before launching and bow art in 2020 -- filled with stories to be told in visual and written compositions as improvisational as Jazz.
